Most of the wildlife conservationists I work with are based internationally, and the majority of them are in Africa. I have previously recommended Scott's Cheap Flights as a way to save some serious money on airfares (especially if you can be flexible with the dates). Just within the last couple of weeks they added departure cities from most of the bigger cities in Africa including Johannesburg, Nairobi, Gaborone, and Windhoek. I have the premium subscription, and I am tracking the cities where I know people who use them as departure points. At only $40/year, I do recommend that any org sign up for the premium subscription. Even if you only use it once year, it will more than pay for itself.
