Select from here to the end of a line of text by dragging the cursor down

OK, I’m on a text selection kick here. Sometimes you have a long line of text and need to delete the end of it. A common scenario is with a web URL. You want to delete the end of it to get just the home page, or get rid of a bunch of URL parameters.

Rather than dragging the selection over to the right and often having to wait for the text to scroll to the end, just click and drag the cursor down just below the line of text. That will jump the selection immediately to the end of the string.

And if you want to select to the beginning of a line, simply click and drag up.
